When I was quite young I didn't like any of the stuff that was on the radio and I listened to Classical music all the time.
And now it's ruined my taste in music, I can't listen to half the stuff that's popular because I can tell that there's no musicianship in it *cries*
What should I do about this terrible calamity which has befallen me? Because I only listened to music when I was a kid, I can't enjoy the popular non-music now that I'm an adult. I'll never fit in with the cool people at my college, whatever shall I do?
Who said you no need to fit?
People are individuals, it defines who we are and we are unique.
If you don't like Modern music, why bother.
Anyway, I am also a music lover. I enjoy from classic to some modern songs. But most of it are from the classics. Some people even wonder
" Why I listen do this kind of genre, when there are popular songs( Modern songs).
The point it, you don't have to follow the "Trends" at this age.
Try to be unique, there are tons of people who like modern songs and it's their choice. You have a choice too.
I also recommend the musician Jay Chou, You can find him on youtube. He combined classical and Modern Pop. I am sure you will find him interesting and at the same time "COOL".
Try listening to artists that have a classical orchestra in the background. Like coldplay, radiohead,
Lol. You poor, enlightened soul...
See it as a gift.
