We are new posters to this forum, so please excuse if this should be posted in another thread.
We have spent three months in preproduction on a horror adventure game. We have a full script, walkthrough and puzzle flowchart, as well as 3d rendered concept art, and are now beginning our production phase. We are an amateur team, but the game is looking like it has commercial potential, when we compare it to other similar games in the market such as "Dark Fall", "Riddle of the Sphinx" and "Scratches." Our renders are comparable and in places will surpass the quality in these games, as we move into production. We are very excited about our script, as we have taken a lot of time developing a story with believable characters, a tense atmosphere, and a carefully constructed mystery. Essentially, we are making a game that we would love to play.

We are both artists and in need of a skilled programmer. We have not decided on an engine for the game, but have discussed using Director and making a stillframe adventure such as the style presented in the original Myst. After looking at what people are doing with Flash, however, we see this program as a viable tool to make a fantastic panoramic game engine. If someone is interested in one of these options, please contact us or leave a message at this forum:
a) you would like to work with a dedicated team and develop a panoramic game engine, and quote us a price for this
b) you would like to join our team, and collect a percentage of the profits if the game is commercially sold
Here is what we are looking to do, but please contact us for more specifics:
1. We would like to be able to map prerendered images to the inside of a rotatable cube, which pans and tilts according to cursor movement, and carries a bit of momentum according to user movement, in order to approximate a panning and tilting experience in game's like Myst III.

2. The player should be able to click on hotspots that takes him/her to new cubic nodes (like a quicktime VR).
3. We would like to be able to map animations to the cube faces, such as a light that gets brighter as it moves to the player's center of focus, and subtle particle effects, such as a leaf falling, or a dripping faucet. We have eliminated the need for integrated bluescreened video, in order to keep the animations from getting too complex. But we would like to have the player be able to spin this panoramic cube while the animations are playing on the cube faces.
4. We will be integrating puzzles, which will involve an inventory system, which might contain five to six objects total.
These are the basics here. But we have more specifics that we could detail in an email.
I know from reading this forum that the programmers like to see in game artwork. We can share some of our test renders with interested parties. Our site is still being developed and will go through a significant overhaul this month, and this redesign will include the first official in-game renders and concept art, as well as a press release of the game's premise. We also have planned a movie style trailer for March, and would like to get an interctive game demo out by June.
