I am looking for a checking account. It must meet the following criteria:
* No monthly maintenance fee (it is OK if direct deposit is required
for the free status)
* Gold or Platinum version of a Visa or Mastercard check card offering
warranty extension and preferably price protection and warranty
management services
* Online balance inquiry
* ATMs in the Los Angeles area where I can make deposits
* Commercial or independent FDIC member. No credit unions, please,
unless they have open membership.
* Not Bank of America
Tips will be provided for each match beyond the first.

If you have an account with a stockbroker, this all may be possible.
I also need to add:
* There must not be a minimum account balance
* An account that only offers debit services, not traditional paper
check-writing privileges, would be fine
