I've never been to Disney before and my boyfriend said he would take me next summer. He's going to pay for the whole thing. But, he said it was up to me to find out all the info, the room rates and do the booking. He'll just pay.

So, I want to know when is the best time to book a Disney Vacation? We want to go in July or August of 2009. We only want to spend about $2,000. So, when is the best time to book our trip?

  • a month

  • Ther person above me is talking about Disneyland, not WDW. Go to http://www.disneyworld.com and type in when you would like to go, and for how long, and it will give you a price. For $2,000 you won't get an exceedingly long vacation, but you should get a very fun one.

  • Now-for $200 per person you can book. See a travel agent and then pay as you go!
  • Florida Vacation Rentals::
But usually it just pays to book ahead as far as you can. It should be easy to find a home â “ there are a lot of Disney vacation homes out there.

  • As soon as you can.

Lock in rates now before they go up.

Go to their website and figure it out. It is a very informative site that will plan out your whole trip for you.

  • book now. Get the insurance, so if anything happens you can get your money back. Stay in Disney at one of their resorts. Try a Value resort for the cheapest hotel rate. The dining package is good to get too. Eating at Disney is expensive.
Call the Disney reservation line to get information. They will walk you through everything.

Go to your library and get "The Unofficial Guide to WDW 2008" for great information.

  • July and August is murder. Its hot and the lines are two+ hours long.
The perfect time to go is in October-March, and go during the week when kids are in school and familys are working.
My family and I go every year in November and its perfect.
Theres a breeze, its not hot at all, and the longest lines we've ever waited in was 20 minutes.

    :)

  • August will be a perfect time to go, will still be nice and hot.
I just came back from there.. Had 7 days in Aneheim and then another 5 in hawaii on the way back to Australia.
I spent $3,500 in spending money hahaha.... Sooo much to buy.
Do you want to spend $2000 on accom or just spending.
Any of those hotels along the disney strip should be covered by your $2000. easy!!
If you book now you should have heaps of time to get yourselves sorted and study a hotel on the internet etc etc..... Book your flights first... then get a hotel later but I would book a hotel as soon as you can..
    Hope ive helped somewhat..
    Have an "Awesome Time"

  • Start booking now, but expect to pay premiums for everything. The flights, hotels, everything is more expensive in the summer It's crazy down here during that time of the year. The parks will all be packed. Packed, like insanely, and hot.

  • I just went to http://www.disneyworld.com and build a vacation for you. Checking in on Saturday, August 15th and checking out on Saturday, August 22nd at the Pop Century value resort, plus two - five day theme park tickets will cost you $1,123.78.

That is the bare minimums... the Pop Century is one of the value resorts. The other three All-Star resorts all share a bus, but the Pop Century has its own, which prevents over-crowding. The tickets are also the bare minimum... they will allow you admission to one theme park per day. You can enter and exit that same park as much as you want to. There are other options, like the Park Hopper which will let you go from park to park, or the Water Park option which allows admission to the water parks, DisneyQuest, or Disney's Wide World of Sports.

Any earlier in August and you are likely to deal with higher prices. (Aug 1- Aug 8, same hotel and tickets $1,407.34)

Weather will probably be hot and steamy. It rains almost daily in Florida during the summer months, but they are usually quick showers/storms that come and go throughout the afternoon. Keep in mind that if you go when students are out of school, prices will be high, and crowds will be excessive. The parks can reach capacity, and not allow you in unless you are a guest staying in a Disney hotel.

Hotel prices vary with seasons... ticket prices do not. Discounted tickets do not exist for Disney. Do not trust tickets on Ebay or any other websites. Tickets are linked to their owners by fingerprints. They also expire 14 days after their first use. Buyer Beware if you buy from anyone other than Disney, a Disney Store, 407-WDISNEY or a reputable travel agent.

Book your vacation as soon as you have your dates. Prices generally go up in Aug and Jan. We are going in May and booked our vacation in Sept. Your vacation has to be paid in full 45 days prior to your check-in date. They only require $200 down when you make the reservation.
