I teach school in Utah and have summers off, which leaves me to traveling alone. Any ideas of a fun and safe place to travel?
Depends what you like to do. Obv you are close to Vegas and LA. However there is wonderful outdoor rec opportunities all over Utah. There is Moab which has amazing mountian biking and climbing, and near there there is also Arches, Zion, and Bryce canyon national parks. (and of course the grand canyon about 200 miles south). Colorado and california are gorgeous as well, Yosemite is something you can see before you die. If you are in northern utah yellowstone is 6 hours away, (SLC is 8 hours from bozeman where i live). If you like safe cities i absolutely loved Victoria B.C. its on an island north of seattle and is absolutely wonderful.
Canada.
For basic country safety info, check out the state departments webpage...they usually have info on how safe a country is for Americans.
Could you please make up your mind. Do you want fun and cheap or fun and safe?
