Hi all,
I followed the dropdown menu by Syko on this site called "creating drop down menus". I got the dropdown menu working in flash pretty easily. I need the button to be a certain size (let's say 115 pixels wide by 23 pixels high) to fit into my navigation bar in dreamweaver. So in the page properties dialogue box in Flash I enter those dimensions (115w x 23h). I then import the flash file into the designated cell (115w x 23h) in dreamweaver. The button fits perfectly in the cell. However, when I preview (press play in dreamweaver) I don't see the button. Through further inspection I realize that I'm seeing a white background of the button and the button is somewhere out of frame. I can only see the button if I make the cell height and width 500 pixels or more. Is there a way to crop the button so that I dont see this white space but rather just the button? I hope someone can help me and that I'm clear in what my problem is. If you have a better alternative to doing this or another dropdown menu that is easily inserted into dreamweaver please let me know. All of your help is appreciated. Thank you!
I would suggest first doing a simple google search for "import flash button into dreamweaver" I did that and began to get an idea of the process just through following the first few links. Beyond that, not sure //scratches head.
Also, try adjusting the Flash document size so that it is not much bigger than your menu and your menu is centered in the middle. Then try exporting it.
