How hard is it to have a small indoor garden. I live in an apartment and would obviously need to hang the stuff near the windows. For tomato's you need at least a 5 gallon pot. Too heavy to hang. As for peppers, onions, radishes even lettuce, a small one gallon pot will work. I grow potted vegetable plants on my patio each summer, and the do very well and produce vegetables. If I had enough window space for the required sun light I would move them indoors for winter.
