For occasional flareups, I suggest aspirin; the problem arises from clots in the hemorrhoid veins, and aspirin is known for its anti-clotting properties. But for a chronic case, I would suggest considering surgery.
There are several ointments on the market which shrink hemorrhoids. Occasionally they would flare up and I could bring them under control with Preparation H. After the second colonoscopy the problem vanished. Doc said while he was removing polyps, he thought he would do a little repair job.Since then there has been no irritation, no bleeding and a heavy, healthy heinie.
