My boyfriend and I bought our cat 14 years ago. We lived together for two years while we had her and she loved both of us. We were apart for 10 years and we recently got back together and my cat does not like him one bit. I have never seen her act like this toward anyone. She makes noises I have never heard. Has anyone ever had this happen?
Maybe he has been around a tom cat and that's what she's objecting to.

first let your cats smell your boyfriends finger
it sounds weird but it will let your cat remember who he is from now on
then let your cat sniff his finger when he comes over first so your cat is comfortable with him and will get used to his scent let your boyfriend give the cat a treat or meat or catnip or just take time for him to pet the cat the cat can get overwhelmed by strangers so it is good to get him used to your boyfriend again because your cat just probably did not recognize him or missed and was angry that he left

One of my cats is like that around certain people. There are a few of my friends he just absolutely hates for no apparent reason. He will hiss at them, swat at them and we can't explain it. Now, when my mom comes over, he is a sweet and loving little guy who demands that my mom rubs his tummy.
