My husband wants a larger cat. . . and I know that Ragdolls continue to grow for 3-4 years. Will it reach the 13-15lbs that females normally get to, or will it stay smaller?
At 15 mo. old it's as grown as it will get . It may get fatter but that's not so healthy. I 'm not that familiar with the breed . Talk to the breed reg.
If its a female she may gain another pound or two. If a male, that is very underweight for a male at that age. They probably should be about 13-14 or 15 at almost a year and a half.
At 15 months, it may still round out a little, but the majority of growing should be done by now. Not every animal reaches the standard size for its breed. There are plenty of very small and very large Ragdolls. Is she spayed? Intact females tend to remain lighter and leaner than spayed females. There's really no way to know for certain until the cat is done growing.
I'm not sure, but i just looked it up and they are so CUTE!
A cat i think will grow for a year or two,
not sure though.
Yes, your kitty could get much bigger. Ragdoll cats are one of the largest cat breeds and have a tendency to hoe up as much food as they can to grow bigger! My little guy was well on his way to being very large before he tragically passed away. They can become as big as 35 pounds over the full course of their life, so I'd expect some growth yet, though most of her growth spurt should be over.
