You really need to provide more information. How many miles does you car have? What kind of mechanical condition is it in? What kind of cosmetic condition is it in? Do you still owe on it? What is it worth? Where are you leaking antifreeze from? How much will it cost to repair the leak?
Most antifreeze leaks aren't that expensive to repair and are probably worth fixing as compared to buying a new car. Of course, it sounds as if you may be looking for an excuse to buy a new car. Hey, you don't need one. It's your money. yes if the vehicle is in need of other repairs and is just simply falling apart inside and out ... and no if its the first problem you have had with it this year... really it comes down to the condition of the vehicle. Has it been good to you? my car has ive had no problems this year, and it is also a 94 but not a Cavalier mind you. I would keep my car since the interior works the engine works now i do have a leak when it rains but that is no reason to get a new vehicle so think about whats wrong with the car and whats good if the good out weighs the bad then keep it.
Put a tin of radweld in and then sell it.
Depends where the leak's coming from.
If it's just the antifreeze reservoir or a hose that's leaking you could get a new one or get one from a scrapyard at a reasonable price. And it doesn't take much to replace.
