| I have to drive 30 miles to school everyday my car is a 93 cadillac with 143000 miles shoould I get a new car? | | Published by: wktd 2010-03-14 |
| Have it checked over by a competent mechanic, keep your tires aired up, pack some snacks and a blanket, keep your oil topped off and never go below a half a tank of gas and you should be good for 100,000 more miles.
Heck no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep it- those are great cruising cars. You don't say if you're having problems so if you are, that might be another story. If not, just start saving a few bucks in case you need to replace the motor at some point.
nope, just find a buddy or someone you know who is a mechanic and ask them to rebuild the engine which would cost less than 1000 for the parts and badda bing badda boom you got a new engine with zero miles on it
If you can afford it then sure why not. I would get a lexis.
if it's giving you problems, no...wait until it starts acting up.
If it's mechanically sound and you can afford the gas, there's no reason to get into debt with a new car. Caddies will run forever if you take care of them!!!
wait a yearish
nah just use car would be fine
u should get a car in 2010 bc ford is bringing on of its european diesel cars that get 65 mpg
i think you should find a way to live closer to your school. driving 30 miles to school and back everyday is just going to rack up the mileage on your new car like it is to your current one.
as long as it is running ok and getting you to where you need to go then y replace it just because it is older.
Depends on the condition of your car.
If you want a new car get one. If you are happy with your current car keep it.
yes lol
Depends on what you get for gas mileage. Since you're a student I'm guessing you don't make much money, so I would say no, you should not get a new car. You probably can't afford anything much better than that anyway, if you're like most students.
Does it drive good, if you have no problems with your car, I sure would drive with it, but if its broken and you have to repair it, than I should buy another car, but if it is driving good, hold it :D
If you want a new car you should get one, so you can keep yourself happy. But as long as you've been maintaining it with tune ups when your suppose to and getting your oil changes when your suppose to there's no reason to get a new car anytime soon
If the car is mechanically sound and you're not having any problems with it, I wouldn't worry about it.
The price of gas has significantly decreased all across the nation, so I don't think your spending more than $50.00 to fill it up.
If you can properly maintain the vehicle and keep up with scheduled maintenance, it could easily make it to 200,000 miles or more.
If car doesn't have other problems except the huge gas-milage, keep it. Or sell and buy gas-saver car. 60 miles everyday - it's a lot!
Yes and buy a car that is economically good on gas. Like a toyota corolla.
if it runs good drive it till the wheels fall off
those older cars were made well, and some of the cads (I looked at a '91 this weekend - buff with 60k on it and leather) some get really good mileage.
As long as it is running well, I would keep it , maintain it, and keep driving it until it needs an expensive repair and them sell it cheap.
Until then, keep it maintained and in buff condition. 143k is not high mileage for that year. It may serve you for another 10 years and your insurance will be cheaper (do not take collision). Baby it and make it like new.
