can you please explain to me how to do it? thanks
1.) In a biology class of s students, there are m microscopes available. If the instructor assigns one microscope to each student, 6 more microscopes will be needed. If the instructor had twice as many microscopes available and assigned one microscope to each student, 6 microscopes would be left over. What is the value of s? S is the # of students there are in the class. Hope this is right!

s = m + 6
Part Two: If the instructor had twice as many microscopes available and assigned one microscope to each student, 6 microscopes would be left over.
2m = s + 6
Part Three: Obviously, there are two variables. To find s, you can use the equation for s in part one and substitute it into the equation for part two.
2m = (m + 6) +6
Part Four: Solve for m using algebraic methods.
m = 12
Part Five: Now you can find s by plugging in 12 for m in either one of the equations from Part One or Part Two.
s = 12 + 6 or
2(12) = s + 6
I think you can take it from here.
