anyway, it has never hissed or anything till today. after mf gf gave it a massage and a long one, it even fell asleep during the massage. after a while i went downstairs to get water. when i tried to pick her up it hissed really loudly. why would it get mad? what does that mean? its my first animal by the way. another question is, how bad is milk for cats? yesterday my gf's nephew left his milk out. the cat got a taste of it but i told them cats cant drink milk. anyway, its doesn't want to drink water and keeps on "meowing". i wanted to see if it was looking for milk. so i tried giving it a little and it was the milk that it was looking for. how do i stop it from looking for milk?
Well, he's too old for KMR (cat mother's milk replacement), but for a short time, you could mix it in with his food.
Yeah, milk is very bad for cats/kittens. Gives them diarrhea, too!
I think he hissed 'cause he didn't want to be touched or picked up at the moment. Siamese are known for "talking" a lot. Although if you find that your cat is not eating or drinking and meowing constantly, that would be reason to take him to the vet. They let us know when they don't feel well. :o) Wendy Carlos Photos 2:: A Siamese cat cannot resist sitting inside an open box or bag or .. and showed great affection and constant awareness, right to the last week. He loved getting a "blow-dry" the last month, with my hairdryer on low . It's nice to discover that the old Subi cat was not being disturbed on the other monitor. http://www.wendycarlos.com/photos2.htmlHOME |
Congrats on your new cat!
Cows milk is bad for cats. They cannot digest it properly. You can either get kitten replacement milk or use goat's milk as a substitute. At that age they should be fully weaned though. I wouldn't do this often. They don't get many nutrients from it.
You probably just startled you cat. If it was as relaxed as you say, you probably just disturbed her sleep. It was probably just a one off. I wouldn't over think it.
