12 nights by shakespeare has a good love triangle!! a girl's ship sank and she was saved by this guy who worked for a king but the king only allowed men to work for him so she dressed up like a man and acted like one and everythin and the king sent her to this queen who he like but she didnt like him so he sent the girl (who is a guy now) to get that girl for him but instead the queen falls in luv with him (who is actually a girl) and that girl (the guy) luvs the king who she is suppose to get that queen for! makes sense? LOL I KNOW ITS

Love triangle: 2 men, 1 woman. 2 men are soldiers, one fights for the North, one for the South. The woman is from France where all men are yellow LOL! J/K. The woman is "unafiliated", or neutral shall we say, and has a difficult time choosing between the two. Of course the man from the South wins with his natural good looks and charm, while the liberal commy scumbag from the North runs off with his gay brother...but that's another story...

you could start with 3 friends who grow up together, (2 guys and a girl)
The war erupts. Each male is on opposite sides. The girl marries one guy. they find themselves engaged in a battle and he is faced with either kill or be killed as they meet up together both armed. The girl is on the side pleading for both sides. Then come up with a conclusion..
21-year-old girl lives alone with her dad during the civil war. her boyfriend /almost fiance has to go out to fight for almost a year and a half. they write letters saying how much they miss & love each other. at the same time girl is starting a relationship with a new neighbor who's just moved by her house. he's 22 and incredibly attractive. he payed someone to go to war instead of him but the girl doesnt know at first. he's really devious and tricks the girl into falling in love with him. girl is still writing letters but feels really bad is getting better at the game. her boyfriend comes back from fighting with hardly a scrape. nobody knows why he was sent back. girl pretends to love him but still sees the neighbor at the same time. the relationship between the neighbor and the girl is getting worse since the guy wants to her to leave her fiance but she doesnt want to. he fiance is disappearing and not giving good reasons for why he's gone. so one day the girl decides to follow him. he goes to a barn in the evening. girl looks through the window and finds him making out with a man. understands why he was sent back from the war and feels betrayed. next morning she goes looking for the neighbor to tell him tht she's willing to breack up with her bf and stay with him. goes to his house but finds nobody there. his landlord tells her tht he left early in the morning heading for some city. having given up on her fiance she decides to go after the neighbor. goes to the city and after a couple days of looking for him she finds him. woman answers the door and turns out the man has a wife and two kids. the two have a huge argument and girl ends up leaving. goes home and is really distant form bf feeling lonely. finally bf confronts her and she admits what she saw. fiance embarrassed but tells the truth ( admits how he was sent back home b/c army found out he was gay). girl is disgusted at her self and stays alone the rest of her life. the end . hope tht helped, lol thought of it on the spot
