In the long term I mean, I was talking about it with a friend. She said, another world war had the potential to change a lot of problems the world faces. I disagreed with her saying that those in poverty would probably just get poorer and the death rate would be through the roof.
What are your thoughts?

It depends on what is being fought over. If there was a country that was enslaving other people or something and another country came to free them and won...wouldn't that be a good thing. Though you can't yet tell because there is not a ww3 yet.
War should be a last resort so no good would come out of a third world war, besides the 3rd world war, if it happened, would be fought with nuclear, chemical and biological weapons from long range, not in trenches, if you think seriously about that bringing any good to the world... your answer would be no, because there wouldn't be one.
I suspect there would be very few of us left to enjoy what remains.
