vBulletin is intermittently showing a red x for ImageMagick6 in admin cp "image options" and in user visable services (e.g., registration). If we force browser "show image", then the space shows empty.
In admin cp it shows image for GD and red x (or empty as described) for ImageMagick.
In user services it correctly shows image when GD is selected, but shows red X when ImageMagick is selected.
We have disabled image verification and installed the text question plugin instead because of this.
ImageMagick is installed and, in fact, I just (in the last 20 mins or so) re-downloaded, -compiled and -installed ImageMagick-6.3.2. Convert, etc. is installed in /usr/local/bin/ as expected. Runs properly for other apps.
Any clues to this behavior would be most welcome.
Thanks.

Yes, re-compiling ImageMagick now that GS is installed would be a good thing.

Seems you are missing GhostScript
Thanks very much for your reply.
OK; what do we want with GhostScript? Does vB require GhostScript? (Don't find it in the manual or system requirements.)
Have ghostscript installed now. (Just did it.) The FreeType message still shows, but FreeType is -- and was -- already on the machine. Any thoughts on resolving that one?
Thanks again.
--- Update: just reinstalled FreeType (2.1.4-5). Looks like I'll need to recompile ImageMagick. You concur? (Sugestion: note external requirements in pre-sale & installation FAQs would be swell. Thanks.) Now it wants PNG. Do you think that there might anything else it needs before we go through this again? (This is a server set up; not a desktop with googy squishy graphics. LOL)
Thanks. (And seriously; put this in the system requirements somewhere. That would be great.)

Any idea what this one means? Find many on the interweb w/ same or similar but, so far, no posted solutions. Ever run into this before?
