Jury nullification is a concept that jurors can vote not guilty if they perceive the law is unjust, or being applied unjustly.
I don't have any recent examples, but an example might be where a parent is being tried for child porn after taking pictures of their kid in the tub, or perhaps someone charged with drug crimes because they grew some marijuana to treat their own illness or pain.
I know I for one would vote not guilty in either instance, even though the letter of the law may say different.
