hey i was just wondering.... if the internet on my laptop is comming from a wireless router thats hooked up to a desktop does that mean whoever is on the desktop can know what webpages im viewing or anything like that ... and if so how exactally are they viewing it from the desktop .... like step by step on how to do it from the desktop
Well you can, but most people wouldn't know how to do it.
go into the router either from your laptop or the desktop by using ie or any browser.
Type in the address bar 192.168.1.1 or it might be 192.168.0.1 depending on your router. Enter the username and password, it might be written under the router (unless you've changed it). Usually the router will keep a log file of the sites visited, but mostly are ip addresses with very little info on what the sites contained.
Hope this helps
