Hi,
I have an 8:1 ratio of members to Guests throughout the day. I read somewhere here that it takes more CPU processing power for members than it does guests.
I also have 1/3 of my registered members as inactive unconfirmed accounts. Would deleting them all give me a reasonable performance boost? Theres about 60,000 members, and 20,000 or so accts arent even used.
Thanks
yes members usually will take up more server resources than guests so deleting unconfirmed or inactive a/cs won't save cpu power but rather help with
1. inactive email account bouncing back to your server (well in that sense yes will use some cpu resources if the amount of email bouncing back is massive)
2. save tiny amount of space
3. easier administration of users
deleting them isn't going to do anything in terms of performance except free a few megabytes of space.
