In 1970 I bought a 1970 chevelle at a dealer in Mt Vernon, IL and
traded the car in 1975 at a dealer in Decatur, IL. The vehicle
identification number is:136370K148643 and the 1970 license plate
number was: Illinois MA6298.
I would like to know where this car is today and the name and address of
the owner.
nevermind, i just check it and it is only cars 1981+
Sorry

This site seems to offer VIN searches on all vehicles (regardless of
year) as well as License Plate search. nissan vin numbers - small business directory for online product :: Vehicle Identification Numbers - Location by Car Make Knowing Your Vehicle ID Number (VIN) Can Help You Get Exactly The RIGHT Auto Repair Parts Every Time! http://www.onlinebizdirectory.com/vehicles/nissan_vin_numbers.htmlHOME |
Are you certain about the VIN number - the sources I've checked say
that it's not a valid number - there should be 17 digits. They're
pretty sure even 1970 cars had 17 digits.

This will tell you everything you need to know. Im not real sure about
the owner name but it will tell state etc. its a great service.
As a former specialist in the scrap metal industry, I would suggest
that a 1970 Chevelle may currently be a washing machine, or I beam, or
anything else that scrap steel gets metled into.
