I am thinking about converting my whole site to a vBulletin Board, as VB has a lot of great features and appears to be a complete site not just a forum
Just a couple of questions before I proceed, if I can -
1. Can a phpBB 2.0.8 data base be easily transfered in to vBulletin Board? If so what steps are involved to transfer the db
2. Is VB a complete site, in other words can the index page and some other informational pages be set up from within the admin panel?

2.vBulletin, it self is just a forum system, however there are hacks / addons that will work with vBulletin to create a whole site.

Just wanted to let you know that I have decided to become a VBer, its a forum packed full of so many added features:D
The only promblem is that VB does not accept e-gold, can anyone help out with an exchange, I will send you e-gold and then you pay for VB with Pay Pal and then I can beome a true VBer today:) I cant use PP because I live in a country that is not on their approved list. I would prefer to do the deal with a MOD or ADMIN but I guess whoever is fine if thats OK by admin. If its not, just delete this post

That is not included with vB. There are several 'portal' add-ons available at vbulletin.org that do this.

When you first come into the VB site, you enter a home page area, which also includes some other info pages, then the forum is seperate, however everything is in the same style. I was thinking of setting up my site in a similar way. So my question is how easily can that all be acheived and is most of the info to do a project like that included in the the support forum folders?
