i own a ridgid contractor table saw and would like some ideas/tips on how to set up the gague for precise cuts.
i have done away with the pointer because i dropped the damn thing and bent the pointer set and such. 45's and 90's are easy. a solid square and adjustment and its done. its the other angles i have a problem with. i use a bevel gauge to get a precise angle on my work but this is not the best tool for setting up the gague because the metal end is so thin. what i usually do is set up my bevel....but a straight edge perpindicular to the bottom rail of the gague and that allows the bevel's thin end to strike the miter gague rail and it should be accurate. i have found this is not an accurate way at all. any tips/advice greatly appreciated
