Wow - Sounds like a lot of big spenders here..... lol
I didn't buy much for podcasting - I already had stuff lying around - just bought some mobile equipment (same old stuff that everyone has - iRiver plus a set of binaural mics and a single-poin stereo mic - total maybe $350). Haven't even used the remote stuff for a podcast yet. Oh, we did buy Pat a pop-filter and a new set of headphones (she paid for those). I guess podcasting did make me buy a $150 M-Audio USB Audiophile interface because the length of shows (compared to a 3 minute song) made my old method of transferring digital data from a digital recorder to the computer unacceptable.
If anyone wants to see my equipment and read about my production methodology, you can find it in the "About" section of our website.
A 4th generation iPod (40GB) was $399 at it's peak, so no.
Try again.
Plantronics DSP headset for Skype recording - $40
Audio Hijack Pro - $32
Web Hosting - $45/yr
I refuse to tell you, my wife might come over and read this.
iMic interface - $40
Lapel Mic - $15
server for website - $35 per month

I spent none on mine.
Sounds like it! Hiiiiooooooo!
Just kidding.
I bought a $79 mixer and one mic (I already had another), plus some cables, adapters, etc.
I stole Adobe Audition for $0.
Libsyn = $10 per month.
I just dropped $180 on a new 16 channel Behringer mixer to replace my dodgy Makie 1202. Hopefully this will help the show! Also I bought a $99 (x2) Presonus PreTube & Compressor and a Pop Screen.
So this week alone I spent over $300.
Expensive hobby!
