  • She may not like that type of food. I would suggest feeding her regular guinea pig pellets, lots of veggies and hay. Also, puting a little vitamin C in her water helps as well.

  • Your guinea is very spoiled. Most likely he feels his/her diet is supplemented enough in fruits and veggies. I would suggest cutting back on the fruits and veggies and getting a more interesting food. By interesting I mean something like Gerty Guinea Pigs or Fiesta. Both have enough variety to keep a guinea pig interested, and come on, we all know guinea pigs are the masters with anything food related. Start feeding your guinea pig Timothy Hay too...

  • she probably doesnt like the taste of it.buy a new kind.

  • You should stop feeding your guinea pig fruit. It is not good to have too much fruit in the piggie's diet. The fruit is too high in sugar and does not contain the right nutrients to support optimum health. Fruit should be given once or twice per week as a treat only.

Try finding a high quality pellet like Oxbow Cavy Cuisine http://www.oxbowanimalhealth.com/ or the Timothy Choice pellets byhttp://www.kmshayloft.com/ These are excellent quality pellets with stabilised Vitamin C.

Your piggie also needs a variety of fresh GREEN veggies like Romaine lettuce, parsley, green curly lettuce, cilantro, bell peppers, etc. Do not feed Iceberg lettuce.

Lastly, your piggie needs an unlimited supply of Timothy hay to keep the digestive system moving along properly and to keep the teeth trimmed. This is important for the health of your piggie. It is not a treat. It is a mandatory part of a guinea pig's diet.

A piggie that is fed fruit all the time is naturally going to turn down other foods. This is like feeding a child chocolate all the time and then giving him broccoli. You'll need to work with your piggie to get her back to eating the foods that are good for her. Keep trying and be patient.

  • Your guinea pig probably does not want to be on a diet.

  • Stop giving fruits for a little while and it will end up eating the supreme blend. Make sure you put the vitamin C thing in the water.

  • yo should take him/her to the vet because probably there is something wrong with its teeth and he eats fruit because it is softer, also wherever you got it from maybe they got it used to one type of food and it is not used to the food you have, god luck

  • My guinea pig won't eat that either so I got him some of that grass I don't know what its called but it looks like grass and some vitamins. He loves the vitamins and they're good for him.

  • It is very important that guinea pigs eat the special diet food you mentioned. First they NEED timothy hay every day. They need the timothy hay for digestion. But not alfalfa hay. It is too hard on their tummy. I have guinea pigs too. I would first try some fruit they like and squeeze some of the juice on the food. If they will take some that way do that for a few days then do a little less juice for a few days. Keep lowering the amount of juice squeezed from the fruit you are going to feed them.Keep this up till they will eat just food. I always keep dry food in my cages and in separate bowl I put in veggies and fruit. I then remove the fresh food bowls when they are done which usually doesn't take long.

  • perhaps you are changing her food too fast. she might not get used to the new food that you are replacing with her fruits. so what you can do is putting some supreme daily blend with fruits together in a bowl mixed together and hopefully she will start eating. do this for about a week.
