mine did the same exact thing!! he couldnt walk so i took him to the vet and put him to sleep it was sad but id rather see him dead than suffering
Well then that vet has got some problems. You can : Go back to the same vet to ask for more advice or you can go to another vet.
go to a different vet. if you guinea pig has a bad infection it can eventually result in amputation or death.
most vets dont know much about rodents
for the weekend try some antibiotic ointment. make sure it is a type that it wont make him sick if he licks it.
