I think thats what athletes are used to. We as society have to accept some of the blame. Once we start to anoint the "next jordan" at an early age we give them that special attention throughout their lives. Politics start in hs where they get special treatment for missing hw/tests and then follow them through college and the pros. It's kind of shocking to see the amount of pro athletes in sports now a days that can barely read/write or speak on an adult level. They're just so used to coasting by on their talent. Don't get me wrong I do respect their talent, drive, and determination when it comes to their sport. But not all of them when it comes to off the court/field.
Bengals don't have much to talk about so they make excuses, just like most fans who's team are not winning (chiefs, raiders, lions...). But then you hear all kinds of excuses why their teams lost this weekend from the likes of the DalA$$ fans, Skins Fans and even Giant fans. Very few will admit that their teams just didn't play well, instead you hear stuff like, if so and so wasn't injured, the ref made a bad call to its an NFL conspiracy. Some players on these teams are so pathetic and the fans eat it right up to create this media frenzy.
