because of the stifling of our personal freedoms... and the fact the government is really screwing us average citizens.
Where to go though?
Where can you immigrate, get work, and move on with your life... and be relatively free??
Just come to Texas and you'll be fine.
I wish you Good Luck. But just remember like Dorothy said in the "Wizard of Oz" theres no place like home.
Yes, we have our problems, but their no country in the world like the USA.
I guess an empty Island with every luxury would be fine.:))))
Frankly, I don't know. I've been so many places but sooner or later you will realize every place has its problems. Ireland?
or Canada?
While there are many countries with greater freedom, they also tend to impose higher taxes. There is no place left on the planet where you can be free of government and live comfortably.
i thought about this under bush and torture, face it america is still the best country in the world, canada has fishing but is north enough that it is cold, there is no comparison to the us we love freedom and we fight for it, we should not have to, in the uk u have cameras everywhere, P.O.V. no country is the u.s. no matter how much hatred i have from the war and supporting ignorant corprate ***&s who take and never give back.
i would say stay here and fight for our country, the play field is leveled and everyone wants the same things in life
Take 2 aspirins..go out & kick two illegal`s "tails", and have good night sleep, see if you feel better in the morning.....Jj B, since Australia is such a wonderful, dream place, a regular Paradise on Earth, you sure YOU are good enough for THEM?...you sure they will accept you there as an immigrant coming from such a "rotten" place as U.S.? Not a real good time to move out here right now. Our economy sucks and our unemployment is up to almost 8%. Jobs are scarce, but gas prices fell below $2 a gallon finally.
If you really want to come here, move to a city first. A big one so you can attend classes to get your citizen ship card.
I live in west Texas, and I'm still not relatively free. I do, however own guns that the cops won't take from me (but I don't hold them in the cops' faces, either)
Born to be wild, would love to be free.
You wouldn't like Canada.
Freedom-Lovers? What the hell does that even mean... who doesn't enjoy freedom? Anyway, to answer your question, eventually things reach a breaking point and the people revolt. Given the age we live in the breaking point is pretty high, but it exists.
I understand how you feel. I would rather live in a country with less freedom if it meant a better quality of life. My husband and I plan to leave the US in a few years, if things work out the way we hope.
I am not trying to be funny because I sometimes feel like you do now. But think about this.
There are more people trying to get into the US then there are trying to get out.
Unless you have a lot of money, there are not many places you can go and not be treated like "the outsider" and maybe discriminated against accordingly.
Give the new government administration a chance. Did you feel like this 8 years ago before our current government took over?
If you still want to go, I heard France was the next best thing. I know the US bashes France but that's because they wouldn't co-sign our bull crap in Iraq. Many people persecuted in the US have fled to France.
Good Luck.
Wait 2 months and then see how you feel.
