From all my friends who had children at the same time range said it was really easy (specially same gender) because all the toys, cloths, bottles, ect. were able to be reused and they would still be in the swing of raising a younger child.
If you feel you're not ready, you'll be alright. If this turns out to be a scare, then just talk to your wife about how you're not ready.
Also, having children doesn't mean you have to give up on your career aspirations. You may have to postpone plans but you can find a way if you want.

First of all you don't have to say goodbye to your career plans you just have to find balance.
Second of all it might be a benefit to have all your kids so close together because then they can all grow up together and have each other to depend on. My brother and I are 3 days shy of being one year apart and while we didn't always get along when we were kids we couldn't imagine it any other way now. We are pretty close.
Feel lucky...my youngest two are 10 years apart and they fight like freaking crazy!

Congrats,u think of plan but God has better plans so be happy may be its a boy on the way ,just be happy and accept it and as u say ur plans are dommed i dont think so a child cant change much only if u have some money en employ a house help that can be better,
