On the old server, the database had 9850 threads.
After dumping it and then restoring it on the new server, the database now only shows 4522 threads.
The weird thing is, all the posts (and the "lost" threads) are still in the database, just not visible - to me as well as to vB. I know this, because when I attempt to post a new thread, it gets appended as a reply to the end of one of the "invisible" threads, with all the previous posts in that thread still intact. The subject of that thread, though, has been changed to the new subject that I had entered. After hours of deliberating this with Steven (thanks buddy!) we've discovered that the old database had 9850 messages in the thread table, but only 4521 in the query.

Any ideas on how to resolve this?
