In certain situations, we are getting a thread_stack overrun on the database. This occurs when we pass a shared pointer to the mySQL structure that represents our connection to the database. What is strange is that we can not reproduce the problem in a similar coded test program. The problem also is not repeatable with the exact same query code if we create a local connection with an almost identical structure. What's more...using the exact same code, the problem does not occur on Windows, only under Solaris and Linux.

These circumstances suggest it is a mySQL problem, but then again, we can not reproduce the problem with similar functions outside of our application (ie test program) suggesting it is something we have done...
