Need a style re-vamp?
Published by: cfz 2009-01-07
  • Hi. Admittedly, I don't have a lot of style. I keep it simple for a variety of reasons, but now I'd like to keep it simple in a more stylish way. Right now I wear mostly dark bootcut jeans, converse shoes and fitted t-shirts. I don't have a lot of money, but I'd like some ideas of how to be a little more interesting style-wise without spending a lot of time or money. What kind of shoes should I look for? Some basics I should get?

  • I like what you wear, it's perfectly fine! What you wear is normal. But since you want to dress a little more stylishly, I'll give you a couple of tips!
For one, try wearing skinny jeans. I'm not sure if you already have a pair of dark wash skinnys, but if you don't, be sure to try those out! That's at the height of fashion right now.
For another, wear some jewelry. Not expensive or anything, just those cute, chunky necklaces you see at places like Icing or Claires! Maybe the ones that have those big, plastic beads on them. Those look nice with fitted T's and jeans. Choker necklaces are pretty cool too-they're the ones that are fitted to your neck. Also maybe try some normal hoop earrings, the medium sized ones (not those really big ones!) Those look casual and cute at the same time.
For shoes, I would get just those cute, mid-calf fuzzy boots that everyone wears these days! Many of those aren't expensive-I got a super adorable pair at Wal Mart for like 15 bucks! You don't have to buy expensive things to look good. Also try flats--they are casual, too, but they're really cute!
Those are just sort of things that you can buy anywhere that don't cost too much, but still make you look a little more fashionable! If you don't wear makeup, I would just put like a little eyeliner on or something. Makeup always makes you look better!
    Hope I helped a bit!
