newbie dude on adsense:: newbie dude on adsense adsense, help, newbie, website. matt999tye #:1453616, 1: 34 pm on Mar. 23, 2006 (utc 0). Hey, I started my new website http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum89/12925.htmHOME | Hi all,
I making a new website for a friend (and to learn how to use flash) and I have gotten to a point that I would imagine is really simple, but I can't think of how to do it. ok, so I have a temp webpage at http://chemgoof.t35.com/sunrise2.html Now the idea is that I want the house, sun and snow to all be clickable. If you roll over the house (after the initial loading) it grows and if you click, it rolls through a movie with the windows. Now, I want it so that when I click it, the movie rolls, but the house stays big no matter where I roll the mouse. Right now, I can click, but as soon as I take the mouse off the house, it shrinks again. Should I just make a new fla/swf with the house large? I made the layers in Illustrator so sun, mountain, snow, house and text are all their own pieces/layers. Or is there an easy way to keep everything in one fla file? Thanks for any help. Do you know of a good tutorial page on buttons? I know you can add tons of frames beside the up/over/down/hit, but can you create a movie in the buttons layer?
to make it click a ble make them buttons instead of movie clips
You can create a movie in the buttons layer, yes. Just select the content in the keyframe you want and convert it to a movie. The only problem is that the motions appear jerky if it's in the middle of a movie clip when the bottom state changes. My recommendation would be to use Action Script and a movie instead of a button.
For example:
movieName.on (rollOver) {
gotoAndPlay("movieName_over");
}
And then instead of skipping to another frame on rollOut, have it play the movie backwords from that keyframe to the beginning.
ok. your ovaral concept is okay but you could work on these bits.
first of all you need to work on your shape tweening.
second, use easing.
for shape tweening - http://www.tutorialelf.com/flash/5/using-shape-hints.html
for easing - http://www.oman3d.com/tutorials/flash/video/ease_effect.php
That works great except I have no idea how to play the movie backwards. Is there a lot of Actionscript involved or is it pretty easy? I looked through the help menu and the only help I got there was for Flash MX which is not what I have. I'll look around online, but if you have a quick and easy, I'd appreciate it. Thanks
