Some blog sites have a photo "cloud" that shows thumbnails of random bloggers, usually in a rectangular block of rows and columns. Hovering over any one of these thumbnails give you their name, etc.

Don't want this as a "social group" feature, but rather to show a random cross-section of bloggers so that people can click on ones that interest them.

Social Group has this, but why would you need to add this feature? You can easily ask to have this for yourself now, just by asking someone to change 'Random featured blog entry from' to show like I have simular to what you are asking 'multiple members (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=240053)' I do not see this as a difficult plugin for vBulletin.org coders to create or have it in place for 'Blog' in next major release.

I've seen these on other blogs and I think it's a good idea. Not sure what criteria would be used in selecting which users to show, however.
