I now periodically get a warning how my firewall log database is corrupted and needs to be rebuilt.

1.Verify that you have a proper version of the ODBC drivers by doing the following: Open My Computer -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> ODBC Sources -> About tab and you will see the following window:
Verified – OK
2.Verify that you have Microsoft Access Driver:
Open My Computer -> Control Panel -> ODBC Sources -> Driver tab and you will see the following window:
Verified – OK
Any ideas?
It is possible that it's something else but whenever there are log database problems the MDAC is always suspect. Updating that stuff usually cures most problems. So, although we can't tell what happened to the drivers, it's always a good starting place when OP complains about ODBC drivers. Load'em up and see what happens. Hello Demolition Man, Welcome to the Forum:)
I think what Agnitum meant (just my opinion) is to make sure they were up to date. You can check here Making Outpost Smooth (http://www.outpostfirewall.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9600) and or reinstall them.
Also did you have another FireWall installed before installing OutPost?
I did also check they are up to date anyhow thanks for the link - this sounds like a cure - but I have a fresh install of win xp pro. How can the ODBC be corrupted? Well, will try and install seperate components and let you know. Tanx again.
