Once there was a wealthy man, he had three sons. He decided to leave all his wealth to his smartest son. So he designed a test to figure it out.
He took three sons and sat them in a triangular position, in a empty room.
He put 5 hats on the middle of the floor, 3 green hats and 2 red hats.
Then he blindfolded the three sons.
He removed 2 red hats and placed the three green hats on the three sons.
Then he removed the blind fold and asked "What color of hat is on your head?" after a while one of the son got up and said "I have a Green Hat" He was 100% Sure of this.
How did the son know he had on a green hat?
if his brothers had seen 2 red hats on other two he would be sure that he had a green on his head. but but none of the brothers reacted, so he was sure that he had a green hat on his head. Neowin Forums > Need A Hard Riddle::

because there were only 2 red hats and three green hats!
there are three sons and two red hats. one of them would have a green hat. since they all have a green hat on, which ever one said they had a green hat on would be correct.
Basically, there must be one among those 3 son's who could wear the green hat since there are only 2 hats that are red.
Next is, maybe he is the first one whose blindfold was removed.
Or, maybe he already have a clue on what will be the output & mechanics of the game.

they were in a triangle in the middle of the room, so when the dad put the five hats on the middle of the floor, he placed 2 reds on 2 sons and one green on the other. at that time all of the sons could see what color they had on. when they had their blindfolds put on they could no longer see. however, the father took off the red hats and put on green ones. the one son whos hat he did not take off could tell after a while that he had the same green hat on.
he wore a green hat there, so it was already on his head?
or... because the dad had taken off the blindfold, he looked at the other two and saw that they had green hats too.

he put the green hats on everyone then he puts the other two kids the red hats on top so he knew he was the only without a red hat
