Blackpool Tower - Blackpool Tower - Icons of England:: I am 14 years old and was born in Blackpool. I moved away from blackpool when i in Blackpool all my life the Tower has been an iconic emblem of not only http://www.icons.org.uk/theicons/collection/blackpool-tower/comments?b_start:int=20HOME | Hello folks
Anyone know a bit about the emblems Blackpool have used over the years and where I could find nice images of them?
Yes that is the Tower one.
The second one is just a version of the one now used and mostly used. I've got some I will post.

Not 100% sure but I think there have only been three club crests.
The one used now which is the one used for most of the clubs history, is the town crest. One was a very simple one with a (very simply drawn) tower and "waves" to indicate the towns location as used between 1979-1987 and for the 1988-89 season. In the 1987-88 season a different crest was used which I think had a seagull on it. The main town crest has mostly been used, apart from the very simplistic, "BFC", which was used in the early 1970s. 2008 UK Platinum Emblems of Britain Proof Coin Set:: In 2008 the Royal Mint is issuing an 'Emblems of Britain' proof coin collection in history as the ‘last of the old’ coin designs are changed in 2008. http://www.24carat.co.uk/2008platinumemblemsofbritain.htmlHOME |
This site contains all the kits the club have used throughout the years with the crests on the shirts

As you will see the tangerine shirts were first introduced in 1923. The 1933-38 dark blue and light blue striped shirt has been used a number of times in the last 20 years as an away kit.
1915 was a very unfortunate year for the team uniform, it appears.
Thanks for the info. I'll see if I can dig up any other examples and will post them here if I can.
That 1914-1915 kit was spectacular!
And this just for a bit of fun --
This was apparently WWE wrestler, William Regal, in his office where he has his Blackpool crest!
