Dear Gomez,
If you've really got an original Picasso, you're very lucky.
"Nature Morte" (Still Life) from 1937 has scored well at a recent
Christie auction:
"An oil on canvas, it measures 25 1/2 by 36 1/4. Executed in 1937, it
has an estimate of $2,500,000 to $3,000,000 and has been consigned by
the Cincinatti Art Museum. It sold for $2,928,000. According to the
catalogue, this was the last and most complex of a series of six still
life paintings with pitchers that Picasso did in April, 1937, "at the
height of the Spanish Civil War," adding that the day after the
present picture the artist produced the first setches for his
celebrated mural Guernica." (SOURCE: "Impressionist & Modern Art,

However, it could be of course a reproduction of some sort, and for
that you need authentication.
Some advices for knowing it through self-inspection exist here:
Authentication and Evaluation of Paintings
In order to see all the paintings from 1937, try The Picasso Project
The Picasso Project, 1937
(there are 5 pages and the link takes you to the first one, you have
to continue - by clicking "2" "3" and so on - to see other paintings
from this year). Please note, that by clicking on each painting, you
can see details about it (and see if they match yours): where it is
supposed to be located, what it is made of (oil on canvas;
watercolour, etc.), size, and other details of interest.
If you need a professional evaluation, after checking yourself, you
could check the following page: " Curators at art museums may have
expertise in a genre, period, school, or other knowledge to guide you
in learning about the authenticity of works of art. They may be
willing to refer you to an expert who can answer your questions."
[...] "The Art Dealers Association of America says: "A dealer with an
extensive history of dealing in a specific artist's work will also
build up an archive of information, as well as a body of experience,
which can help resolve questions of authorship and title." (SOURCE:

Here are for example, few companies dealing with art authentication:

You can also try to find art consultants and appraisal in your area
using the Yellow Pages (or asking in local museums, as suggested
before).
I hope this answers your question. Please contact me if you need any
further clarification on this answer before you rate it.
