I have been using Outpost 3.5.641 for a a while now and have been very happy with it. However, I am having a problem with my new pc (xp home) which has an Ati card.

Xp is randomly rebooting about once a day, when I click on a link somewhere. When it restarts, Outlook is telling me there has been a problem.
Search on here suggests that Ati Catalyst Control Center may be the problem. Now, I don't want to remove this and install some other third party drivers, because frankly I have no idea what this even means, and it seems drastic to butcher my new set-up !!!
Please help with Hijack this logthis spyware is really annoying::

So my question is, can anyone tell me if this problem can be solved be my updating to a new , or newer version of Outpost Firewall and if so which version. And would any newer version accept my firewall settings (config file).

I have ATI on my laptop and have Outpost 2009 with no problem.
Hi gibson8, I have on board a Ati graphics card,and dont use the CCC drivers as in the past they have caused a few issues for me. I just use the driver only and have removed CCC all together. PS I also have outpost and have no issues at all.
You could always try a newer version of Outpost. If you are trying the latest version of Outpost, the best thing is to back up all your configuration, but as the latest version has been completely re-designed, I would advise to put it into learning mode for a week. You can then make alterations to tighten it up, if you so wish. I actually have not altered the configurations, as I find it works fine with my Vista machines.
If you are not happy with this latest version, you can also try version 4. Somewhere in these forums there is a link to get older versions. Hope this helps.
I too have an ATI card with Outpost V4 (migrated from V3.5) and have no problems with either version.
However I don't run CCC because it's just a waste of space and gives me no additional functionality.
Nobody with an Ati card?
If you have one, I would appreciate some quick info. Are you running CCC + Outpost without any problems. If so which version of Outpost are you running.
