I wanted to try this software(Outpost Firewall Pro 6.0.2178.8329), but I'm dissappointed:
this firewall always blocks my gmail chat :( I've tried several things, for eg.: exceptions but it's always blocked. When I shutdown the firewall the connection is recovered.

You may want to try an easy, but much safer, option to connect both to your gmail mail and chat: instead of logging in via http:// try https://

To get this automatically, go into your gmail settings; under the General tab, find 'Browser connection:' at the bottom of the page and check 'Always use https'; click save changes; refresh your gmail page, the address should now show https://mail.google.com/. Try gmail chat and let us know if you can connect.
