I just replaced my strings a few weeks ago, and after I cut them off at the tuning pegs, I left some little daggers hanging there. The made a hole in my guitar case, and have made holes in me! How do I make them less sharp? I've tried sand paper and tape, and there is no more room to cut off the strings. Its very thin pointy metal. No matter how short you cut them or sand them or whatever, the ends of guitar strings are always going to be sharp. You could try putting little peices of tape over the ends tho. Might keep them from poking you.
Try bending them down or replacing the strings altogether. Mine get pretty pointy sometimes too.
