| | A recent newspaper article referred to a document supposedly
authorized by Pope John XXIII and titled "Crimine Solicitationis."
Where can I find either a Latin or English translation of this
document.
The full name of this document is "Instructio De Modo Procedendi in
Causis De Crimine Sollicitationis."
I found the document, in both Latin and English, on the website of CBS
News.
The document in Latin:

The document, as translated into English:

The files linked above are in .pdf format. You'll need to have Adobe
Acrobat Reader software installed on your computer in order to view
.pdf files. If you do not already have this software, a free download
is available here:

My search strategy in locating these documents consisted of a visit to
the CBS News website. I searched the site using the keywords "vatican"
and "documents," which took me to a news story that included this,
with the links I've posted above:
"Here is the secret Vatican document that instructs bishops to cover
up sex crimes by priests. Below are the original Latin version and an
unofficial English translation provided to CBS News."

Thanks for an interesting question. If you have any difficulty
obtaining the files, please request clarification before rating my
answer, and I'll be glad to seek an alternate source for you.

the title of the article is correct, I think, I got it from a news
article. See the comment by one of the researchers.
Researchers, see following two articles:

Are you sure about the title? A search on the Vatican web site did
not reveal any such document

I especially like the fact that the answer contained both the Latin
and English versions. When I posted my question, I was hoping to be
able to read the original Latin text. NID - CHILE: POLITICAL IMPLICATIONS OF PAPAL VISIT - CIA document:: OCR scan of the original document, errors are possible. Implications ol Papal Visit. Thank you very much for the five-star rating and the nice tip!
