Heya,
So if you visit http://www.hookmedia.biz/cabinet_source/v4_f and you look at the "Gallery" page you'll find a photo gallery that uses XML to display photos. It's a modified version of one of the Kirupa tutorials.
Now, the client I'm doing this for asked if I could create a film strip beneath it that shows all the photo's and when you mouseover it magnifies. Now, I know how to do this with PHP just not in Flash, does anyone know how to do it? Thanks!
Spence
Yup its mine...so of course I have the .fla: http://www.insaniak.com/flash8/as_ga..._insaniak2.fla DreamSuite Series 2:: Film Art – “ Creative filmstrip effects for combining images together artistically” Panning Tool Magnify Tool. Was built for the AS gallery competition a little while back. If you need help removing the blur bits just ask me. Most of the code goes into the motion of the thumbnails, so you could probably cut out a lot of it. Mt. Isaniak, could you please write the contents of photo_details.txt. I cant get the .fla to work. Using Images:: Images can also be viewed in Filmstrip View or Single Picture View. click the Magnifier tool and select the level 8 magnification setting http://asp2.wlv.ac.uk/its/website/selfhelp/help/graphics/usingimages.aspHOME |
Thanks so much for the raw files. Now, I was actually expecting to see some objects, but you like literally did this completely using AS huh? Because I don't see any objects on the stage. Pretty impressive.
Would you mind walking me through a couple questions?
1. Yeah, how do you remove the blur?
2. How would I make it so the images don't overlap?
3. Ideally I need the filmstrip to go along the bottom of the screen. Can you tell me how I can do that?
4. Do you know I really appreciat this ;)
Thanks again man.
Yep. Except I don't want the images to be blurry or overlapping one another. But if you have access to a tutorial for the or the .fla than that would be great because I'm sure I could figure it out from there if I have to.
Thanks!
Finally I can make it to run but for some reason never comes into:
blankbut_mc. onRealease() even if the blankbut_mc is created...
Yup its mine...so of course I have the .fla: http://www.insaniak.com/flash8/as_gallery/asonly_gallery_insaniak2.fla

This is exactly what I'm looking for, but is it possible to add multiple columns so the filmstrip is a grid rather than one column?
