This URL "http://www.photospreview.com" have been indexed in google .
suddenly it disappeared from the google . when I type "photospreview"
in search box and I click "I'm feeling lucky" I see following error
massage:
"A problem has been detected."
"An error occurred while generating the requested page."
What is the problem?
Hi there,
The error message is from a page that was linking to your site, and is
not the problem. When Google indexed that page, it looked like this:
http://216.239.53.100/search?q=cache:oQSYd9MssHIJ:community.webshots.com/scripts/guestbook.fcgi%3FalbumID%3D55384071+photospreview&hl=en&ie=UTF-8
There are a number of possibilities for being dropped from the Google
index:
1. Lack of text content
-----------------------
Google relies on text content. Your site is very graphics intensive.
If you have recently changed the look and layout of your site, then
the new lack of text could cause Google to think that there isn't
enough content to be worth indexing..
2. Unavailable site
-------------------
Has the site been unavailable at any time? If the GoogleBot visited
while your site was down (maybe you changed servers?), then it may
have decided that your site no longer exists.
3. Web Position Gold etc
------------------------
Have you ever used specialized software to check your Google ranking?
Doing so is against Google guidelines and can lead to your site being
removed from their index.
4. New site
-----------
Is your site brand new, and did it only appear in Google results for a
few days before disappearing? If so, your site was found by the
FreshBot, and is going through a common pattern of:
a) FreshBot finds your site
b) Google lists sites found by the Freshbot within the last couple of
days
c) FreshBot doesn't return to your site, and it no longer appears in
Google listings
d) When the complete Google index is updated next, your site appears
permanently
5. A Glitch
-----------
It happens, computers make errors.
Solution
--------
Consider adding more text to your site, and having a file like
index.html for your homepage, rather than a file within the cgi-bin.
The combination of not much text, and a perl file, might be signs to
Google that your site is trying something tricky.
Submit your URL to Google again:
://www.google.com/addurl.hrml
