in thinking of a way to improve the playlists(specifically for music) i thought about how my 5 disc changer works.
it has 2 main controls, the repitition control and the order control.
repitition control has repeat on and off
order control has one track, all tracks, shuffle. Creating a playlist:: continue to play the items after the End of List marker therefore providing you the end of the playlist (using the Add and End options) they are added before http://www.otsturntables.com/doc/playlist/creating_a_playlist.htmHOME |
it then allows you to mix any settings from the two... User Guide Player - LimeWire:: playlist when it finishes) and shuffle (play files in random order) options only (Image needed) Clears all files from your playlist. Related Options http://wiki.limewire.org/index.php?title=User_Guide_PlayerHOME | Mailbox: Audio Players | The iHigh.com Network:: two options for you to use to edit your player: (1) the auto play option which, It will be added to the playlist underneath the media manager. http://ask.ihigh.com/articles/mailbox_audio_playersHOME |
one track repeat, one track no repeat
all tracks repeat, all tracks no repeat XMPlay Support:: The context menu of any file will give you a list of options: Play. This works from both the playlist panel as well as the big Playlist. Random play http://support.xmplay.com/article.php?id=15HOME |
shuffle repeat, shuffle no repeat(basically shuffle always and shuffle until all tracks have been played).
i think this would be a cool method for xbmc to handle music playlist playback.
if this isn't implemented, then i think the "shuffle" option currently there should not shuffle the actual playlist, but just the playback order. i doubt i'm the only person that finds this annoying...
