From: sonoritygenius-ga on 13 Mar 2006 18:46 PST http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview/id/706924.htmlHOME | Well about an hour ago i brought a hamster from a pet shop. It is a girl and was in with other sirian female hamsters. I just noticed that it has a little scab on its cheek???
what is it?????????
o and shes a syrian 7 week old hamster
:)
shes nice and lively aswell
Don't touch the scab. I wouldn'y worry too much about it, she probably just had a little tiff with the other little girls she was sharing her house or she scratched herself on something. If you think something worrying is happening, like it's becoming infected (swelling, going green or yellow) then go to the vet immediately. If it is not infected, it should probably clear up itself. Hamsters are not supposed to live with other hamsters, because they will fight. Good luck. for missy(thyroid:: It might help me find information specific to your situation. . Please do let me know if there is anything else I can do for you, and please, please, http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview/id/231275.htmlHOME |
its probably just a scab from a fight with the other hamsters DONT touch it and it will be fine
Oh, a scab that isn't much of a problem. I rather you don't touch it (I bet you wouldn't anyway) because it could maybe have some slime or something or a tiny bit of blood. It's probably just because hamsters in the same cage (at the pet store) like to play and fight a lot. It's the win of adoption for the hamsters. Syrians are adorable! Cool!
I wouldn't worry about it she might of just been cut herself with her nail or something like. If it looks like its getting worse and not clearing up in the next few days go to the vet or speak to the pet shop you got her from. The face she is nice and lively is very good so if you notice if she doesn't eat or drink then again consult a vet!
