how do i travel from malpensa airport (milan Italy) to
Gerra-gambarogno (Switzerland)?
Hi!
It took me quite a while as I have tried quite a number of different
routes and transportation options.
Anyway, the following route will be (by far) the fastest:
From Milan Malpensa airport you take the bus to Gallarate. This bus
leaves from Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 at the following times:
5.35 From monday to friday
6.05 From monday to saturday
6.55 Every day
7.15 From monday to saturday
7.56 Every day
8.29 From monday to friday
9.00 Every day
9.30 From monday to friday
10.30 Every day
11.30 From monday to saturday
12.15 From monday to saturday
12.50 From monday to saturday
13.13 Every day
13.53 From monday to friday
15.30 Every day
16.28 Every day
17.38 Every day
18.45 From monday to friday
19.50 Every day
A bus ticket to Gallarate costs 1,5 euro if you are leaving from
Terminal 1 and 1,25 euro if you are leaving from Terminal 2. The
ticket can be bought in the bus.
You have to get out of the bus at the Gallarate train station. From
Gallarate a train goes to Gerra Gambarogno, via Luino.
You first have to take the train to Luino. This train leaves from
Gallarate about every 30 minutes. Travel time varies between 45
minutes and 1 hour. Service start at about 6:00 am.
Note: if you know at about which time you will take the train from
Gallarate to Luino, let me know and I can lookup specific details for
you.
Once you arrive at Luino, you have to take the train to Gerra
Gambarogno. This train also leaves every 30 minutes. Travel time is
about 20 minutes.
Note: if you know at about which time you will take the train from
Luino to Gerra Gambarogno, let me know and I can lookup specific
details for you.

Again: I?ve tried a lot of different alternatives, and this is by far
the fastest connection. If you have any questions or need any more
information, please ask for a clarification!
