I am pregnant with baby number two and I am very nervous about picking up baby number one. Things are a lot different now that I already have one. What was your second pregnancy like and how did you cope with the nerves about everything you are not supposed to do? Was the sex of number one and two the same for you? How were your pregnancies different? Thank you.
when I was pregnant with my second I pick up my son all the time and he was 2 at the time now that i'm pregnant with my 3rd I pick up both, I get critize a lot from strangers but so far nothing wrong with my little ones. Yes all my pregnancies were different, every pregnancy is different between my 1st and 2nd with my 2nd I got really sick but once I got tothe 2nd trimester I had so much energy. I too am a little nervous about #2. With this pregnancy, I have had incredible morning (all day) sickness which I did not have with #1.

Both one and two were boys. I worried that I wouldn't feel the same over whelming love for the second because I couldn't immagine loving anyone as much as I loved number one....amazingly the second I saw his little face I felt it. I carried baby number one around until I was about 30 weeks pregnant...he was 2.5 and he told me he was too big and he could walk. I found because I already had one I focused a lot less on being pregnant and it went much faster for me than the 1st one did. Also the baby was so much easier to handle because I didn't run and pick up #2 the second he made a squeak, like I had with #1. I also realized baby #2 wouldn't be ruined for life with every choice I made..like I had stressed out over baby one. Being more laid back really made everything less stressfull for me and both the babies.
i have just had my 4th baby and i had really bad SPD i still picked my 20 month old son up as i was his main person that looked after him alot of people did nag that i shouldn't be doing it but who can sit with you all day and do it for you unless you get advised not to do any lifting at all i would say you should be fine to pick him up as long as you are not over doing it, apart from having SPD all my pregnancy's was the same very bad morning sickness, i have a 6 yr old girl and a 5 yr old girl and a 20 month old son and a 2 wk old son they are soooo cute.
