Should we split the US in Half?
Published by: admin 2009-01-09

  • Since the American People are becoming increasingly more Socialistic, should we make a Western and Eastern US? One side can be a Socialist haven and the other free market Capitalism. Which side would thrive? I am on the Capitalist side by the way.

  • well:accordingly to the "Government they represent the
United States Of America and basically very important thing
Elections depends towards Republicans or Democratic
2008 National Convention would be Primary also General official
Polls only Answers Politics & Government knows we vote for
President whom Can win the nomination "

  • No, people like yourself should just move to mexico...This is where republicans shipped many many jobs. So they obviously think they should take care of mexicans and big business before they help someone like myself. SO JUST LEAVE AND DO OUR COUNTRY A FAVOR.

  • Sure and why don't you guys keep Mexico and we will just join Canada. You are ridiculous the only thing big about our government is what the current administration has done to it in the last 8 years.

  • please

  • Nobody wants socialism. The only people talking about a right wing nut jobs. I'm a Republican, but I'm getting sick of the right talking about this garbage. You are giving the rest of us a bad name. Calm down and go read a book on Socialism. Learn something about it rather than just following the herd. Quit listening to Rush!!!....BTW, I'll go to Capitalism. Also, the Federal government is talking over some banks in order to help solve the current crisis. That, my friend, is socialism. So the side we support is beginning the process you rail against. You really need to educate yourself.

  • Hmmmmm, didnt we try that once before, around 1860, except that the division was along North and South lines? That didnt work out too well, so I say No, we should keep it as one country, even with all its imperfections. Otherwise wouldnt we end up with a thousand or so mini countries, whenever there is a disagreement about anything, we divide that sovereignty into multiple parts?

  • The massive dislocation of people would be a disaster. Plus, within six months or less the socialist side would be asking for foreign aid, and their people would be illegally coming to our side for jobs and money to send home.

  • I'd be with you on the capitalist side.

  • yes...then the after the socialist side goes bankrupt...we should permanently outlaw their ideologies...

  • Asking this kind of question shows how brainwashed you are. Not to mention your idea of secessionism sounds like treason. You reps would rather split this country in half than accept defeat in democratic elections. That shows how much you really love this country.

All of that that we want to do, that we know how to do, we can't do with the I think most of us feel there should be a reduction in any attempts in

  • Do you kow how many men died...to make it one country?

  • i think we tryed that once member.........the south will rise again

  • NO, but

You can go live in Alaska if you wish.

  • Yes! I would love to be in a fare-share environment, but as long as there are passports needed to get to the east and west. Or just make the whole country socialist. It shouldn't effect us seeing as the US is already in a debt and is borrowing all the money we own from China.

  • We kind of already did that and it didn't go so good. when the south decided to leave when Lincoln became president.

  • you seem to be on Todd Palin side. Secessionist? Problem is his wife is giving hand outs - windfall oil tax. It is all confusing ....

Bush is supporting socialism , Palin is supporting socialism... and the red blue map is all checkers.

  • Not exactly in Half .Give a bunch of the Middle States(the dakotas, nebraska, kansas, oklahoma ,etc) to the liberals ,socialists and Obama Types.Let them rule how ever they want. They can build projects all over the place.Give all the good coastal land to the real Americans since it is the most valuable(and Socialists dont care about having material things)

  • YESSSS

  • Well no we shouldn't split the country and the capitalist side would thrive. We need less government involvement in the economy not more.

  • To put it more acurately, let's lump the rust belt (Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois) in with the east coast, ohh plus let's let them have all of the west coast (except Alaska) too. San Fransicko (Yes, I know I spelled it wrong, purposely) should be the capitol. Anything south of Virginia will go to the Capitalist side.

THe rest of the country will be Capitalist side, with the capital being Dallas, TX.

In the last election John Kerry won most of his votes in the Rust belt, the far left east coast, the far left west coast and the rust belt where even if Jesus Christ himself were the Republican candidate, they would vote Democrat. (No I am not saying Jesus would be a Republican, actually I think he'd be a libertarian on some issues, and on others he'd be a Republican.)

Let me take my tounge out of my cheek and say, United we Stand, Divided we fall.

In a perfect world the far left wouldn't stand a chance of getting power, but those who follow goosesteppingly behind the ideological teachings of Saul Allinsky, Karl Marx, and others own the propoganda machines known as ABC, CBS, CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, NBC and a ton of the daily newspapers so alot of those who don't think for themselves are caught up in the cult of personality, that is Captain Catchphrase.

The criticism of personality cults often focuses on the regimes of Stalin, Hitler, Mao, CeauĹźescu, Saddam Hussein, Kim Il-sung and his son Kim Jong-Il. During the peak of their regimes, these leaders were presented as god-like and infallible. Their portraits were hung in homes and public buildings, with artists and poets legally required to produce only works that glorified the leader. Other leaders with such cults include Eva Peron of Argentina and her husband Juan. The term cult of personality comes from Karl Marx's critique of the "cult of the individual" - expressed in a letter to German political worker, Wilhelm Bloss. In that, Marx states thus:

From my antipathy to any cult of the individual, I never made public during the existence of the [1st] International the numerous addresses from various countries which recognized my merits and which annoyed me... Engels and I first joined the secret society of Communists on the condition that everything making for superstitious worship of authority would be deleted from its statute

  • no leave it as our fathers wanted it.

  • More than just two.. oh wait, it's already separated into 50 states

  • yeah u got that right. U.S moving both ways now. personally i like Capitalism
