I am considering investing in a company that has developed a product to treat shoulder subluxation but don’t know much about the market. I am looking for the global incidence/prevalence of shoulder subluxation. I am interested in finding out who gets treated for shoulder subluxation (stroke patients for example) and what their treatment options are, as well as what companies are working in the area of improved shoulder subluxation.

I have been able to find that shoulder subluxation is a common complication of stroke and occurs frequently in hemiplegic shoulders. It may develop as a result of weak muscles that prevent normal muscle response to loading, improper arm positioning or pulling on a flaccid hemiplegic arm. I would like to know what is the incidence in shoulder subluxation in stroke/hemiplegic patients worldwide? What treatments are available for this condition and what companies are working on these treatments?
